Journey to Finish The Proposal

Hi Hi Hi!! to everyone who is viewing our blog again.. We had finally submitted our proposal on 15th April 2013 before 2p.m. successfully... Just to recap back my journey of doing the proposal.. We actually did 70% of our proposal during the holidays whereby some of the works are break down to smaller portion and given to each groups.. So along the mid-sem break we communicate again each other through the facebook  and e-mail.. I(Vikneswaran) had updated this in the previous blog..

The main highlight is I have to come back on Friday itself so that we can finish and compile our work.. Since Deepa and Hilda cannot make it on Friday.. So I and Munis has discuss and did some work on our proposal at KTP(Kolej Tun Perak) since Munis will not be able to come on Saturday since he have some Kolej programmes.. Then on Saturday Morning I had another discussion with Hilda and Deepa.. Here is when 80% of our work is complete.. Then On Sunday myself and Deepa compile all the work and we manage to finish the proposal completely... That's was our journey on completing the proposal.. So we'll meet u all again in the next blog.. See ya!!

 

Proposal Discussion During Mid-Sem Break

Its time to blog again!! Today our topic is about the discussion of our proposal during the mid-sem break. Since now each and everyone in my group which includes me has go back to our own respective home town. It is still not a problem for us to discuss in a group since we discuss the details of our proposal in the social media which is the facebook. Since myself, Munis and Hilda have their facebook accounts, so we discuss in groups in the chat option provided by facebook. However, one of my group member, Deepa doesn't have a facebook account. Therefore, we will keep in touch with her through email.
Besides that, we also talk by phones so that each and everyone of us gets a clear picture on their respective job scope. Since this is a group work, all of us decide to return to our Kolej earlier and we plan to meet up at Kolej 5 on Saturday to compile all our work and finish up the last touch up of our proposal.
Furthermore,  I had attach the images of our conversation through email and facebook here just as a proof that we really communicate during the holidays.

Windows MAC & Dashboard Demo

Its time to blog again.. The topic that I'm going to discuss today is about our group and classmates experience using the Mac on last Wednesday. We are assigned by our Dr to gather at the Multimedia Studio. Once we reach there we leave our shoes outside the studio and enter the studio. The environment of the studio is very conducive. There are 12 Mac available in the studio. Then, we are given some briefing by our Dr cause the studio can only accommodate 12 people at a time. Thus, only some of them are allowed to use the Mac while the others are asked to try it on the Friday replacement class. Dr has break our class to many sessions on Friday with each sessions provided 10 minutes. Its lucky that my group members had a chance to experience Mac on Wednesday itself. Thus, it is unnecessary for those who attained the Wednesday class to attained on Friday. Many of us, it was the 1st time of using Mac. So its quite fun and enjoying to explore the Mac. Based on our observation the interface of the Mac is very different than the normal windows interface. Even the close, minimise and maximise button is located at the left hand side. But we would prefer that it is located at the right hand side cause i usually forget it is at left hand side and i always wonder how to close the window. Its better if Mac uses familiarisation in the building of their interface. They should maintain it at the right hand side.

Last but not least after using the Mac, most of us went to the Dash board demo. At the person explains the usefulness of dash board. He also compare two types of dashboard whereby one is durable and another is not. Hence, from his explaination i believe that in another 5-10 years this dash board will be available in all Universities cause it makes the life of a lecturer easier.

Project 1st Meeting

On the 22nd of March, we had our official 1st meeting in Cyber Lab. Although before this we do had our meeting. During those previous meeting the issues that we had discuss are regarding the blog, assignment , and minor issues about our project such as choosing the group the project we want to do and about our group(group name, group leader,etc). The reason why i called this the official meeting is caused we had started to search and proceed with our project. We have choose women's fashion. All of u might thinking.. y do we choose women's fashion and not men? The main reason is that women has always been up-to-date to fashion and usually when a women see's another women wearing something fashionable, they will usually get attracted to them any they surely change their style so that they can keep themselves up-to-date. Thus, it is always more profitable to have a place to sell ladies clothes rather than selling for men. We had also catch some photos of our 1st meeting that had been held in Cyber Lab of FSKTM.

Moreover, we take some major decisions in this meeting. Some of them are the assigning of roles to each member. We had break the task to smaller portion and this will be done by each and every member. One of the thing that we did during this meeting is, we compare the interface of many ladies fashion websites. We check the pros and cons of that particular website. We analyse those websites and we deduce roughly on our website should attract more folks. We basically  discuss the general review of the task. so as we proceed further with our project more updates will be updated here.. so c u all soon .. ya... ;-)
